Humble Night Reviews
Jamie Lee Rake - The Shepherd express
Music for the winter holidays from local acts doesn't come along often, but here's a sincere and tuneful example deserving of repeat play for many Decembers to come.
Chris Iverson - The Coffee House Board President
Humble Night is a new album from singer-songwriters Barb and Tom Webber that humbly describes itself as a collection of Advent and Christmas songs. It is that, but is so much more: a collection of beautifully crafted lyrics and melodies, gorgeous instrumentation (Barb and Tom teamed up with some wonderful local and Nashville masters), and a weaving of traditional Christmas stories with new perspectives and insights. The songs abound with themes of the Christmas story, peace, darkness and light, the Holy Family, and our own families.
Lisa Medina - Chicago Singer-Songwriter
As a singer-songwriter myself, I appreciate the story-telling throughout the album. Each song has a message, from celebrating love, to embracing different backgrounds, to contemplating the passing of time. Tom and Barb bring their musicality and heartfelt interpretations, creating a work that not only resonates during the holiday season but also has a timeless appeal. "Humble Night" is an invitation to pause, reflect, and embrace the beauty of love.
