I heard the weatherman say
A blizzard’s coming our way

We’ll cuddle by the fire
as the white stuff piles higher

It’s been a really long time
since you and I
had the pleasure of a lazy day
The roads and city’s closed down
it seems our time now
to claim a moment of quiet play

The shovel’s by the back door
It’ll have to wait a bit more

At least we are together
through the raging weather

And when the morning dawns
with its new white ball gown
Diamonds scattered at our feet.

of who we can be
on our winter retreat.
